Ack!! The parts didn’t come in.

Even though Camping World ordered the two seal kits for the back levelers last week for delivery on Saturday, the parts were still not here this morning.  After checking into it, the service guy found out that they weren’t sent until today.  That means they’ll not arrive until tomorrow.  It probably also means two more nights in the parking lot.  I am not a happy camper.  :(

I  sat around all day, and didn’t learn the reason for the screw up until this afternoon.  I’m trying to take this in stride, but I have to tell you that I’m tired of being here.  And that’s all I have to say about today.

Thanks for stopping by….talk to you later,  Judy

  1. Cheer up Judy, it probably could have been worse. At least you have your home with you. Things will look better when you are out of there it should not be long now.

  2. Ditto what Vera said, at least you did not have to go to a hotel again. Still stinks, I know. Aren't we just always at the mercy of any repair facility? I don't care who it is, sometimes the service is lacking. Hang tough! Go out and take a few photos of something...anything. :)

  3. I'm in complete sympathy with you. Where do these companies get off treating their customers like that - customers who have spent a lot of money and are keeping them in business.

  4. I can't really say I'm surprised at this. It seems like a ridiculously common experience with RV dealers. RV service departments are notorious for the kinds of lousy service you are getting.

  5. If only people would do what they SAY they are going to do...Seems to be a common problem these days..OK...Shake it off...open a bottle of wine...and just chill....At least you are healthy, and you have the best company ever....Emma!!!!! (have a wine for me!)

  6. We know how you feel. It is looking more and more like we will take off on our Eureka Springs trip with cabinets that I have patched together myself because someone did not order the parts on time. But we will still be in our RV and still be with good friends.

  7. The story we have about our RV repair is enough to make anyone angry. The shop had our trailer for a month and never did fix the issue but they did exterior damage when they were backing it up. To make a long story short, they lost a customer and if I ever hear the business' name, I tell people to run in the other direction!!

  8. Soon you may very well have the record for the longest RV stay in Boise since Idaho became a state.....lol.

  9. Welcome to my world, although we haven't even gotten close to the point of parts being ordered. No, wait a minute. Am I entering your world? Want to trade soothing mantras? :)

  11. Judy,

I am not a fan of Camping World. We generally go back to the dealer that sold us our motorhome. But, when that is not practical we turn to RV service reviews.com. I have done this twice and both times found top notch service.

  13. Judy, I am so sorry you have to put up with Camping World's usual crappy service! It's like they think they have a monopoly on RV Repairs and do not care!
I hope the parts REALLY shipped this time!

  14. I am sure our day is coming but so far we have had good luck with getting our RV serviced wherever we have had to take it. I know this is not the norm so I don't know what is going on. Soon you will be whistling down the road again & all this will quickly fade into a distant memory behind you. It is sometimes hard gathering up the patience for living in the 'right now' though!!

  15. So sorry the parts didn't come in. I'm sure hoping today goes a whole lot better. We spent a week at an RV repair shop just a couple of months ago and I about went crazy. We drove around a lot with our two dogs because it was too hot to leave them in the truck and too hot to just sit outside all day. It was miserable so I can really empathize with you. But you wil soon be on the road again and it will all just be a bad memory that you can forget.

  16. Sorry you are having such a hard time. We have been jerked around by them a few times too, but find their products pretty high quality, so hang in there. Hope there is a place to take Emma on some long walks.

  17. Been without internet for a few days, so missed some of the drama, but that sucks. I will avoid camping world if at all possible. I started our annual service yesterday at the dealer we purchased it from. Small country dealer, but when I needed some unexpected parts, that ordered them yesterday and were here today. They understand how important is for some of us to get quick service. This has always been the norm here. So I have to conclude that the largest part of the problem is Camping World.
